Zendaya Debuted Her New Pixie Cut at the 2026 Emmys—See the Photos

Zendaya has arrived at the 2026 Primetime Emmys! The actor, who is nominated for a third time for her role as Rue Bennett on HBO's Euphoria and is also presenting during the ceremony, officially debuted her new pixie cut for the much-anticipated ceremony, just a few days after giving us a sneak peek at her latest short hair evolution during a surprise appearance at New York Fashion Week.

Coree Moreno, who worked with Zendaya on her instantly iconic Odyssey tour looks, was on hand to style her hair for the Emmys. “For Zendaya, the inspiration is a classic pixie reimagined through a modern, editorial lens,” the artist shared. “I wanted the silhouette to feel feminine and refined with a little rebellion—sleek around the perimeter with airy, piece-y texture and controlled height through the crown.”

Moreno started by prepping Zendaya's hair with Schwarzkopf's KERATÎME Deep Repair Detangling Treatment and worked it through her hair for a “silky, conditioned, manageable foundation,” then followed with Hair Bonding Oil for smoothness and shine. “Because this look relies on manipulating short sections while maintaining softness, I wanted the hair to feel supple and healthy before introducing heat and texture,” Moreno shared.

He then blew her hair dry using a Arache Mini Shine Boost Gloss Infusion Daily Boar Brush to build and shape the pixie while preserving natural movement, and once Zendaya's hair was dry, Moreno misted göt2b glued 2-in-1 Spray Wax throughout the crown for grip, separation, and texture. “I concentrated the product where I wanted the most movement, allowing the perimeter to remain cleaner and more controlled,” Moreno explained. He followed with a flat iron, working in small sections to sculpt the hair shape, lifting and bending individual pieces and elevating sections for variation. As a finishing touch, he misted some more Spray Wax for additional definition, using his fingers to separate individual pieces for an “effortless” silhouette. The final-final touch was a bit of göt2b glued Blasting Freeze Spray to lock it all in place for the night.

We all know Zendaya can pull anything off, so we're zero percent surprised she looks amazing in a pixie, but this is a major wow moment. It's also the perfect hairstyle to show off her gown, a beaded tulle V-neck in blush and silver, which she wore with pearl earrings.

Zendaya first went short in early 2026 with a bixie, which she then wore styled in a variety of ways to promote The Drama and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, including in waves, slightly damp like “a bird caught in the rain,” and in Betty Boop curls. However, this pixie is definitely the shortest style she's ever worn, and several Allure staffers instantly called out Halle Berry's iconic pixie, especially as worn by the Oscar winner as Jinx in the 2002 James Bond movie Die Another Day.

We can't talk Zendaya without mentioning her makeup; makeup artist Ernesto Casillas used Prada Beauty on the star (she's an ambassador for the brand), pairing the pixie with a rosy palette dusted across her cheeks and eyes, with a similar shade on her lips. Casillas used a combo of Prada Touch Cream-to-Powder Blush in Cherry and Tulip on Zendaya's cheeks, with Monochrome Soft Matte Lipstick in Tiepolo and Reflection Glossy Liquid Balm in Blushware on her lips. Her nails were a subtle milky pink, with the combination of colors highlighting the subtle, baby-pink tulle of the illusion gown. Though we have a little time to wait before Zendaya begins her next round of press engagements and premieres—Dune 3 doesn't come out until December—we are really hoping to see more of this pixie very, very soon.
